Explore more about us

It started with a feeling most Nepali women living in Australia know all too well — that ache of wanting to dress in something from home and not being able to find it anywhere.
We searched. We looked in markets, in stores, online. And what we found was either not authentic, not quality, or simply not available in Australia at all. So we decided to stop searching and start doing.
Swarna Wears was born from that decision — to go directly to Nepal, handpick the most beautiful pieces ourselves, and bring them back to every Nepali woman in Australia who deserves to wear the real thing.
Swarna means gold in Nepali. It is the colour of Basantapur's ancient palace rooftops at sunrise. The gold thread woven through a bridal saree. The warm glow of a Himalayan morning. It is the most beautiful word we know — and it is the soul of everything we do.

WHAT OTHERS SAY?

I have been living in Australia for three years and finding authentic Nepali clothing has always been a struggle. The moment I discovered Swarna Wears I ordered three kurtis and they arrived even more beautiful than I expected. The fabric, the embroidery, the colours — it felt like a piece of home had arrived at my door."

Four Pillars

Directly from Nepal

We do not buy from wholesalers or third party suppliers. Every single piece in our collection is handpicked by us directly from Nepal's markets, workshops and artisans. What arrives at your door is exactly what left Kathmandu — untouched, uncompromised and completely authentic. When you shop with us, you are one step away from Nepal itself.

Authentic craftsmanship

The women and men who make our clothing have spent their entire lives perfecting their craft. The hand embroidery, the block printing, the silk weaving — these are not factory skills, they are family traditions passed down through generations. Every piece carries that history in its threads. When you wear Swarna Wears you are wearing something that took real hands, real time and real love to create.

Supporting makers

Behind every kurti and every saree is a maker who woke up early, sat at their loom or embroidery frame, and put their skill into something beautiful. By choosing Swarna Wears you are supporting those makers directly — ensuring they are paid fairly for their craft and that their traditions continue to thrive. Your purchase is more than a transaction. It is a connection between you and the hands that made what you wear.
