When a Nepali woman puts on a Swarna Wears saree in Melbourne or Sydney or Brisbane — she is not just getting dressed. She is wearing Dashain. She is wearing her grandmother’s kitchen. She is wearing the mountains she misses and the streets she grew up on. She is wearing home.
That is what we are here for. Not just to sell beautiful clothing — but to make every Nepali woman in Australia feel a little closer to where she came from. One piece at a time.
“Home is not just a place. Sometimes it is a saree.”

Our Story
We brought Nepal to Australia
Swarna means gold in Nepali. It is the colour of Basantapur’s ancient palace rooftops, the gold thread woven through a bridal saree, and the warmth of a Himalayan sunrise. We started Swarna Wears because we kept searching for authentic Nepali clothing in Australia and kept coming home empty handed. So we stopped searching and started doing. Every piece in our collection is chosen by us personally — not from a catalogue, not from a wholesaler. From the hands that made it, directly to yours.
